Frank J. Brisslinger is deeply passionate about serving and protecting Ventura County and its people, having been born and raised here. With his work ethic, drive, and incredible ability, he is a powerful addition to our team.
Since retiring from policework, Frank began private investigation work.
Frank became an Oxnard Police Officer in 1997 where he started in the Patrol Division and assigned to serve in the Field Services Division of the Oxnard Police Department. Throughout his time in the division, he successfully investigated thousands of misdemeanors and felonies. This experience gave him the knowledge and experience to excel in interviews, interrogations, and crime scene preservation.
Frank started focusing on narcotics, DUIs, and gang cases after his first assignment. He investigated more than 200 narcotics cases and worked alongside powerful government agencies to pursue the cases. His excellence led to a promotion to become a Field Training Officer to teach new officers in his department.
He moved to the Oxnard Violent Crimes Task force in 2003. In this position, he collaborated with the F.B.I. and other federal and state agencies. His responsibilities included executing search warrants and providing monthly updates to Ventura County Law Enforcement Agencies on current gang trends.
Frank was promoted to Senior Officer in 2004. He continued to study the trend of gang crimes and frequently worked with the F.B.I. to solve crimes. Additionally, he was a prominent presence on the Ventura County Stolen Vehicle Task Force.
Beyond the experience he gained from his career, Frank sought further training on interrogation and surveillance from the Department of Justice and the Interview and Interrogations Institute. He also trained under the California Narcotics Officers Association to learn about how gangs manufacture, sell, and distribute narcotics.
Frank's achievements have not gone unnoticed. He's the recipient of multiple awards, including the 2005 Police Officer of the Year Award from the Oxnard Kiwanis Club.
Upon his retirement, Frank brought his skills and experience to Wilfert Law P.C. His investigation skills have been invaluable for his ability to find important pieces of the case and investigations. His contributions have resulted in favorable outcomes for many of our clients.
